Line Of Symmetry
symmetric: A word that describes a figure whose
halves match when it is folded in half
Line of symmetry also call Reflection Symmetry or
Mirror Symmetry is the
line that divides a figure into
two matching (congruent) parts, each of which is the
mirror image of the other.
One half is the reflection of the other.
Examples of Line of Symmetry:
The dotted line shown in the figure
is the Line of Symmetry.
